OGÜS as an architectural bureau, established in 2008 at Gümüşlük
Producing without caring the question of ‘how’ and ‘which sources’ are in use: Producing, in the global world, is perceived as not only the contribution of nations to the global production but also results in consideration of ‘bulk nations’ when the product is exorbitant, waste, vulgar and useless. Since any production obviously needs consumption of sources, this consideration is also one of the main reasons of global wars among nations. Some may feel the right to say ‘they must be destroyed before let them destroy the all’
Existence struggle of culture within architecture: Attractive and first quality paper made pages in architectural books and magazines’ including latest concepts and trends, is ready for copying and reusing that newest projects in other occasions, although everybody has same opinion while pricing and honoring the original project versus the copied one. For this reason; many architects in general are not taken into consideration of global international scale projects and even also in national-wide projects that will be realized nowadays or in near future. This attitude is also common in different cultural activities or artifacts as well as architecture. Every artifacts affect others less or more, but only the mature and tasteful samples resembling their cultures, carry on their cultures, so that cultures keep alive in the history.(artifacts or architectural heritage can only be eternal if the whole culture stays alive) History is the eyewitness of lost and extinct cultures and nations in the past. Scope: Our scope, aims to achieve our living cultural heritage and habitation attitudes, as inspired from vernacular and traditional culture within contemporary environment and internalizing modern versus post modern struggle, integrating as kneading dough, controlling viscosity and enriching the capacity, keep fresh and improving the taste in long term by means of researching-studying-designing- turning back for examining with the cultural habitation attitudes again; finally possessing the completed architectural evidences. During this long journey, we promote the importance of the sub-steps and other journeyers’ role, compared to completed architectural evidences by inviting them to knead this dough. We must work with ethnologists while establishing the architectural program and relatively spatial units. Ceramic artist(s) should design and produce some interior walls; Sculptor(s) should design and articulate the void-gallery as an abstract sculpture, Painter artist(s) must expose the façade by materials or colors; interiors, exteriors, the presentations and poster sessions are waiting for photographers and graphic artists… Hope we success. |
